This cell phone holder is EXCELLENT! Super strong arm STAYS in the position you put it in! The one I recieved had the clothespin-style phone holder (as opposed to the flat one that has springs to slide out to the side), but I'm totally happy with what I got! I have a Samsung Note 9 in a knockoff Ott.erbox case and it fits perfectly with room to spare. I was a little confused at first how to assemble it and there were no directions, but I tried to show them in my pictures. Step 1: Unscrew the band and put it on the end of the long arm. Step 2: Press the ball joint into the threaded thingy on the back of the phone clamp. (it is firm, but thats a good thing!) Step 3: screw the band onto the threads to tighten the two parts together. The tighter you screw it, the less movement there will be at this joint. I recommend getting the whole thing in the position you want and leaving it that way, if possible. This holder is so nice that I am going to keep one attached to my bedside table and another one clamped onto the table next to my massage chair.
Will definitely be buying another one as a additional purchase!

I mean it works. It’s exactly what you’d expect for the price. Kinda flimsy, but granted I have a large ipad. A small tablet or phone might work great.
